New Product Line of WYSIWYG XML Editors
We are glad to announce the launch of a new simplified Product Line of Syntext Serna WYSIWYG XML editors.
Serna 3.x editions have evolved into the two products: Serna Free 4 XML editor and Serna Enterprise 4 XML editor.
Major feature development has stopped for Serna 3.x. Maintenance releases are possible.
Serna Enterprise 4 XML Editor
The former Serna Enterprise 3.x has become Serna Enterprise 4 XML editor.
There are a number of license-related changes:
- A single license is valid for all the platforms: Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, and SunOs.
- Copies of the licensed Serna Enterprise may be installed on an unlimited number of computers provided that only the licensed user uses the software.
- The minimum purchase is 1 (one) license.
Serna Enterprise 4 XML editor comes with the following enhancements:
- A fresh look&feel thanks to the migration to the Qt graphic library v4.4.3.
- Improved font rendering and large document visualization on MacOS X.
- The uniqueness of DITA elements' IDs is maintained and validated within the scope of the parent topic.
- Enhanced Print Draft can save documents to PDF format.
- Secure communication between Serna and an SSL-enabled remote HTTP or WebDAV server thanks to SSL support.
- SVG images are natively supported.
- Serna can work as an ActiveX control on Windows for easier integration with corporate environments.
