XslGen
- Aid for Web Site Content Management |
XslGen is a simple but effective tool for web site content management. Develop HTML layout in your favorite HTML editor, and keep your content in XML. XslGen lets you seamlessly fuse your HTML templates and complex XML content into a sophisticated web site!
Technically, XslGen provides simple HTML-embeddable language, which provides easier to use shortcuts to XSLT instructions.
This whole site is generated by Syntext XslGen.
With XslGen, site maintenance is simple:
- Develop HTML layout (the "template") in any HTML editor.
- Provide simple instructions in the template to decide where to place content data and how to generate complex tables.
- XslGen generates XSLT specs from the templates, and then any XSLT processor can create your site in a snap.
- Updating layout changes for your whole site could not be easier: change a single template for many pages or change the XML content without worrying about the HTML layout.
Combining XslGen with any version control system (like CVS) and the "make" utility you get a simple site content management system - almost for free! This is an ideal solution for small to medium-size businesses which need easy Web site content management but don't want to bother with complex and expensive enterprise content management solutions.
For creating web sites with simple content the user may know nothing about XSLT, and even for complex sites only minimal XSLT knowledge is required. See the convenient XslGen Tutorial for examples and documentation.
