Syntext Serna: Flexibility of the ContentMap Pane

Advanced Tree View

The ContentMap Mode gives you an advantage of viewing the full tree structure of a document. The advanced tree contains all the elements of the document. This makes it easy to estimate the contents of even large documents fast without having to scroll the whole document.

Moreover, this mode is convenient when you want to edit or drag&drop the elements right in the ContentMap pane.

Powerful Style Language and Profiled Views

Powerful style language allows numbering, decorations, profiling, etc. of the elements in the ContentMap pane. The view of the ContentMap pane is controlled by a separate stylesheet which can be associated with the document type. Therefore, ContentMap pane is tailorable for particular document types.

In addition to the ContentMap Mode providing you with the full tree view, you can switch to the TOC Profile providing you with multiple profiled views, such as sections, images, etc. ContentMap may have an arbitrary number of profiles defined in the stylesheet.

Advanced Navigation

The tree view of the document structure allows you to navigate the document and access the necessary location fast. Just find a desired element in the ContentMap pane and click on it, and you'll be brought to the right place of the document.

Besides, ContentMap is in sync with the cursor position: the current ContentMap element gets highlighted so that you can see where you are in the document.
